Apple Pencil
Customize Apple Pencil gestures and explore various ways to use it.
Gestures
Navigate with your fingers, draw with your pen. Gestures are the finishing touch, letting you create faster and more efficiently than ever.
Gesture Customization
Feather supports various gestures depending on your Apple Pencil model. Double Tap, and even the Apple Pencil Pro's Squeeze gesture, are fully supported. Best of all, they're completely customizable.
Enter the Control Menu from the System Menu. Tap on 'Apple Pencil' to set up various Apple Pencil options.
Squeeze
Gently squeeze the lower part of your Pencil. Supported only by Apple Pencil Pro.
Enter Squeeze from the Apple Pencil Menu. You can assign various functions to this gesture. By default, it's set to quickly access context-sensitive tools through the Squeeze Menu.
Double Tap
Lightly double-tap your Pencil. Supported by Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil 2nd Gen.
Enter Double Tap from the Apple Pencil Menu. Like Squeeze, you can assign various functions to this gesture. By default, it's set to quickly toggle between Draw and Erase modes, but you can also assign it to the Squeeze Menu or Injector.

Toggle Draw or Erase
Quickly switch between Draw and Erase modes. You can activate this feature using Squeeze or Double Tap gestures. When using the Select tool, it toggles between Select and Deselect.
Squeeze to Switch
An incredibly efficient gesture to quickly switch tools. Simply squeeze and drag. It's that easy.
Tap a tool from the Tool Menu, then squeeze and drag your Pencil to switch freely between tools. For example, squeezing while "Draw" is active switches to "Draw Shape," and squeezing while "Erase" is active switches to "Vacuum." It works both ways, and similarly switch between "Select" and "Deselect."

Show Cursor
Enter Show Cursor from the Apple Pencil Menu. Displays a cursor indicating your current tool and position while drawing, erasing, selecting, or deselecting. On iPads supporting Hover, you can preview the size and color of the brush on the 3D guide.
Finger-Pen
Tap the system menu at the top left of the screen. Tap the rightmost list, then toggle Finger-Pen at the bottom. Tap again to turn off Finger-Pen.
Tap to Activate Finger-Pen
Tap Finger-Pen at the bottom of the screen to activate it, indicated by a black highlight. In this state, the next touch will be recognized as a pen press or draw action.
Draw with Your Finger
With Finger-Pen activated, drag your finger to draw. Use Finger-Pen to create 3D Guides or draw on existing 3D Guides, as well as using the Eraser and Select tools. Tap Finger-Pen again to deactivate it and return to navigation.
Tips
When Finger-Pen is enabled, finger-based navigation is locked. It can be used like a screen lock when you want to focus on drawing or editing without accidentally moving the screen.
Tap and Hold Finger-Pen to Draw
Tap and hold Finger-Pen, then use another finger to touch or drag. This allows you to quickly switch between drawing and navigating without toggling Finger-Pen on and off.
Customize
Tap and hold the Finger-Pen icon and drag to move it to a preferred position on the screen.
